Hey,

As the title states, this entry will be about my 8-day trip from Birmingham to London, then Canterbury, back to London then on to Southampton, back to London then back to ol' Birmingham. Fuh...that was a long one.

So lets start summarising all shall we? Heh heh. This year I went to Canterbury via London with Aiman joining in to visit my college senior, Kudin. He is in his final year there and there is no one else there so I thought why not just drop by and see the place, the Garden of England or so he says. It was an interesting one nighter. First day when we arrived we just looked around the town and such. Susah betul nak jumpa melayu, hehehe. We had ice-cream at a parlour which is a 1st for me in the UK and for dinner, Kudin and his friend graciously cooked butter prawns and ayam madu. Man, that was one killer dinner! Lovely...

A canal in the Garden

Us chillin'

Yum yum...

On the second day we went to Dover Castle. It was Kudin's 3rd attempt to get into the place and he finally succeeded. It was so bloody windy that day I almost just wanted to go home. However, the Castle was a nice place to visit and it showed how people lived in those medieval times. I get a feeling though that you visit one castle, you visited them all. Am waiting for a chance to be proven wrong though, heh.

Finally, he arrives...

Not you too Aiman

Wish I was king...

This ain't the Titanic dude

Your execution...to be thrown off!!

Where do you plan to shoot man?

We then had to leave Kudin with his work. It was a good time to spend with him, the poyo fella. Next on, Southampton AKYUEM Fest! Basically it's a college alumni which I decided to go for the heck of it even though I've gone to Soton once before. It was all to lepak with friends which I think is time well spent and memories well earned. The Fest was only like a few hours of fun, activites and lunch + performance. I participated in the 3-legged race for Garnet and played volleyball for the North team (comprising Topaz and Garnet) and won for both! There were also Interhouse Futsal and a game that I can't really describe. So nice playing these games with such familiar faces.

Girls futsal...fun to watch, hehe

Jump Froggy jump!!

Three-legged men

Whoosh, so fast!

Serves up!

My name is Sepot and I'm so bored

After the games there was a lunch and performance by 2 bands from my batch. One day, I also want to play! Miss those performing days, hehe. Later, as usual, there were photo sessions (like people weren't snapping from the start of the day anyways). All sorts of excuses just to take a pic, from boys, girls, batch years, house etc. Haiya, macam tourist. Bit by bit people began to leave for their respective cities in the next couple of days that followed. In between, apa lagi. Lepak, chat and main game la. Best giler main Dance-Dance Revolution in Pojan's room and the Pro Evo 'stadium' in Syam's room. Nice...Thanks friends for the fun time I had there especially those in the South Hill Hall.

Makan yop makan!

Kamera yang mana satu pulak sekarang??

3-Gen Garnettors!

Before I proceeded back to Birmingham I had another day to spend in London. This time around, I was invited by Wani to go with her and her pet-sister, Diyana, from school along with Aiman to go to Greenwich, London Eye and lastly, dinner at her place. Well, she didn't really ajak la, I'm the one who did the self-invitation...kot :p There was also Ilyana (I think that's her name) who followed us to Greenwich. Ok la Greenwich, a quite modern town which had a huge park and quite a few people. As per norm, you only go there to see the line which we saw...then went, haha. Yes, I think I should be like,"Look! I'm in 2 timezones at one time!" but who can see time anyways. The gadgets in the Royal Observatory were cool though. There was this Painted Hall which I don't know is a chapel or a dining hall but it was really nice to see painted stuff on the ceiling and all throughout the wall.

"Pose, jangan tak pose!" bak kata Kak Diyana

I can see Canary Wharf!

My 2 fingers pointing to different times

My 2 homes...

What time is it for us now??

A reminder of the Imperial system

Getting bored of my face?

Wassat?

Fell asleep waiting for lunch :p

Oi, you behind...move!

Next was London Eye. I tell you one thing, it sure beats Birmingham's Wheel. People say you should naik during the sunset but Wani had to go cook ;) It was a clear sunny day and we can see...well...I dunno until where but as far as the eye can see la. We were so busy seeing things around in the capsule and taking pictures here and there that the so said 40-minute ride seemed mighty short! Lambchops was next, heh heh. Wani's house was like making a makan-makan since her housemate, Shan's parents were in town...I think. Best giler I tell you, my perut almost burst from eating...I think more than the fingers on one hand worth of lambchops. There was also boiled veggies, baked macaroni and some other stuffs which I couldn't remember. Sedapnyer....

Gayat...

So lawa the view

3/5 London bridges

You below me

Hey look, I can see Big Ben!

Me below you

The sun shining so bright

Us together

The capsule looks cool

I...can't...stretch my arms wide enough!

Felt like going to that...

Later on we played Chor Tai Ti. Sampai ada 2 groups tu, 1st Division (solely because we started first) and Division 2. I was in Division 1 the whole time! Giler la, played from like 10pm to like 2am so quite sakit bontot la sitting at the same spot. The catch with playin this time is that whoever lost had to eat the leftover veggies. Div. 1 losers had to eat 1 piece of couliflower, broccoli and carrot each and get demoted to Div. 2 while Div. 2 winners get promoted to Div. 1. Div. 2 losers had to eat double the amount of veggies Div. 1 losers ate. You may think this to be easy but not when you had unbelievably bitter couliflower. You should have seen the green queesy faces that emerged, it was so funny!

Division 1 players (at the time)

Division 2 players (at the time)

Well, that was basically my holiday. 2 weeks are almost up and I am going to start studying, or what I can manage anyways for 4 weeks. Need to bloody pass la. So till next time!

Your friend,
DarkL|ghT

Here it is where a humdrum fella writes on what he feels like writing, when he feels like writing. Boring? Interesting? We shall see...
