Hello hello,
I am now glad to say that my MSN e-mail is now back up and running as it always has. I don't know what happened but my decision to just wait it out for a few days paid off. It kind of showed me like many times before that I can survive without MSN although I do spend a lot of time in front of my computer, hehe. I must admit that I tried to resort to using my Gmail and Yahoo! Mail accounts and not my other 'work' Hotmail account for MSN (for reasons only known to me). Those did not really work either as it took so long for the verification e-mails to come.
In the end last night I don't know why but I thought that maybe signing in through e-messenger can bypass the crap that was making my life difficult. How suprised I was when it worked! Then I thought why not take it a step further and sign in to the proper MSN Messenger? Hooray! It worked...so then I had access to my e-mail, MSN contacts and all. Thank god. I proceeded to take the necessary steps to ensure that the next time at least my contacts won't be gone by saving them. That's one problem out of the way.
Next up was my results. We just got them yesterday. Mine wasn't so bad la. Overall I passed the January exams but I have to work a bit harder in May to pass this year. No use blaming anything or anybody now as I knew how much work I did. It's better than last year though ;) So that's that done.
One more thing I would like to mention to not make this blog look like one big to-do list :) As you guys might have noticed in my past posts I have mentioned Japanese cars that I liked. I must say that since before I have always favoured these makes compared to Continental makes although recently my heart and mind have been opening up to these other makes. This must be due to more and more exposure to them in Top Gear and the new Need for Speed series has somehow influenced me although I still have a feeling that they seem to be too posh for my tastes. That and also the fact that Malaysians have this mindset that if you ever going to bring back a car to Malaysia it will be a big waste to bring back a Japanese car which I still disagree although less now (if I do bring one back it would be for the parents la).
So lets start this new chapter by introducing one of my new favourites, the Volvo S40 [
Top Gear/
Wikipedia]. Volvos have a reputation as being the Gold Standard (some term I am constantly exposed to in lectures) when it comes to safety but also come in very boxy and ugly designs. My first exposure to Volvos was when I was very young, maybe since I was born actually, as both my dad and aunt had them. I drove my dad's
240GL when I first got my license which was quite scary. Imagine lah, graduating from a small Kancil to a big, long tank! That car however was a good car to bump around and test my skills ;)

So, the S40. I first saw this car when I was going out for dinner with my family in Taman Tun. First impression,"Wah! Is that a Volvo???". I'm sure if you see it too you will be attracted to it as it is so sweet looking. Low, short wheelbase and the looks...the LOOKS! Haha, I still can't believe that it's a Volvo but the company (like BMW) is going through a design revolution which started with the XC90. They feel that safety should come with style and I for one say why not?! This is one car that is definitely in my 1st-car list and also I will think of this car as one that I would like to bring back to Malaysia...although I also would also like a BMW M3 or the Audi RS4 (Continentals la, Japanese car list too long :p).
So that's something different for you guys. Please la if you do come visit this blog to tell me what kind of cars you guys do like. I am curious to know :)
Your friend,
DarkL|ghT
