Hey!
Today has been a good day so far (yes, I know it's only 6:16pm). The University of Birmingham Malaysian Students Society (MaSoc for short) is organizing the Asian Sports Tournament for February and March where all the Asian Societies join in for fun and games :p Today was
volleyball and I participated for MaSoc. Well, and also officiated, became the umpire and referee and bla bla bla....we are kind of short of personpower (to be politically correct). Anyways, it was good since we got the Silver Medal! Best giler!!
The first match was against
Taiwan. We lost but it was partly because we are just not used to each other yet. Baru main skali together maaa. We were getting better but it was too late. Next was against Far East Connection (Fecx) and later,
Hong Kong which we won kind of easily. Then came
Japan. Truthfully I was proper scared of them because they did look much more skillfull. Alhamdulillah, as luck would have it we won but by a very close margin though, 25-23. It was the most suspenseful game I have ever played in my life. That and I was serving for the final point! Nerve wrecking I tell you.
Since we played in a round robin system it was a final between Taiwan Society and MaSoc. Both of the societies as I have seen have a good relationship with each other so it was quite a fun and tense affair fighting them. Before the system was 1 set, 25 points only but now it was best of 3 sets, each 25 points rolling system with the rubber match having 15 points only with a normal score increment system like badminton. Long story short we managed to get them to play the 3rd set with the final score of 15-10. Overall, it was so fun!! Really enjoyed playing volleyball again :)

On another note, these past few days I have been thinking so much of the Mazda Miata MX-5 [
Top Gear/
Wikipedia]. Don't know the reason why but I think it may be due to the fact that I see quite a few of them around uni and it does suit my taste in what I want in a car. For me, if possible, I want my first car to be a 2-door coupe/convertible sports car which has rear-wheel drive. This car fits the bill and it being low is also a plus! This car is the one that I always use to start my career in
Need for Speed Underground and
Underground 2 in (until the RX-8 came later :p) and also was featured in Initial D 4th Stage in the first few episodes. It is such a good car. The new 3rd generation has been released recently but I still prefer the shape of the 2nd gen Miata.

Well, that's my story for today. Please tag or comment on what car would you like to be your first car. Of course this car must be thought to be bought with your own money and not as a gift from your parents (to those lucky few). See you soon!
