Hey,

3 things happened this weekend:

1. :D Medball 2006
2. :) Taipan Lunch
3. :'( Dead email

So we shall start slowly eh? Medball was held as usual at the International Convention Centre/Symphony Hall yesterday. This years theme was Starlight Ball and was the biggest Ball ever held by the Univeristy of Birmingham Medical Society @ UBMS/MedSoc. I went with my housemates and the girls in Hubert Croft. The night started off on a kind-of-annoying note as we arrived 15 minutes late and someone then took our table. We were like,"What the hell?" since the organizers did allocate tables with our tickets. It seemed that the people who took over our table experienced something similar and we were later given a new table anyway which the floor staff opened new for us. After a few moments of tak puas hati and maki-memaki we finally calmed down enough to enjoy the evening.

The 3 course meal was vegetarian for us. Sedap tu sedap la but sometimes makes me feel like nak katok jer :p I ate enough vege for a week! After our meals and drinks (7:30-9:30pm) it was time for the after-party (9:30pm-2am)! Apa lagi, time to get our groove on the dance floor la although I was rather kayu, haha. They had 2 music rooms; One was kind of pop/rock songs you hear over the radio often and the other is bangra. Spent most of my time in the former room as it was just more comfortable la. In the bangra room they had a few games that I did with Dazrul. First was the bungee run. Basically you just run until the bungee will pull you later and put some velcro stuff to see how far you went and you have 2 tries. Dazu won that and it was fun as when we felt the rope pulling us already we went for the last stretch and just jumped to enjoy the hard recoil back. Bounce and bounce we went...hehe. After somemore dancing we went to do the gladiator. You can see the pics below on how it works and I am proud to say that I kicked Dazu's ass! Although at the time my kness were shaking like mad while standing on the platform for god-knows-what reason.

We all then danced some more until 2am where they had to close off the ceremony and we all then went back to Umberslade to hang around till like 5am. The girls went back to their home. It was a fun evening and I also met a lot of my friends from MedSchool. It was a memorable night. I would go again but only for the after-party ;)

The after After-Party

Next up was me waking up at 11am to go for the closing ceremony of the Asian Sports Tournament. Football semifinals and final were on today. I was just there in time for things to wrap up and most of the committee members and Ricky and I then went to Tai Pan for lunch after. For £6 you get unlimited sushi but we managed to up it to £15 each with other dishes. This was as we ordered some more stuff on the menu which were half price under the sushi deal. It was better than Shogun that I went last year la but the people who were doing the food on the conveyer belt were so slow! Most of the time there weren't anything on the belt or the things were the same over and over. All in all it was good la as I also got to hangout with my friends and it was also the first time I ate Soft-shell Crab! :D

Now, my senior from college, Atoy, mentioned before that for all good things to come to you, the bad will also happen which I too believe in. Well, it happened to me today in all its glory. My hotmail e-mail which I also use for my MSN rosak!!! Painful pain-in-the-ass. I do not know what happened. It was okay last night and when I tried to access it today it locked down saying that somebody has been trying to access my account a lot of times with no avail. Sh*t, if I still can't access it tomorrow I will have to do some MAJOR restructuring and redirecting plus I have to re-do my MSN Messenger. Not only that, all my memories and contacts will be lost because of this. GO TO HELL HOTMAIL!! If my other hotmail account dies too I will never use your e-mail service again and will try to make others follow suit. Yahoo! Mail/Yahoo! Messenger or Google Mail/Google Talk anyone?

Your friend,
DarkL|ghT

Here it is where a humdrum fella writes on what he feels like writing, when he feels like writing. Boring? Interesting? We shall see...
