Well, not really as I haven't written Day 5 have I? So let's move on...

Day 5 : 8/4/2005 aka Friday

This trip is coming to an end already…sob sob. But not before we go on the top of Le Eiffel Tour! Yes, it was a rainy morning….I bet I’m gonna b sick when I get back to Birm (tru enuff, I am!) but we went anyway. It was quite heavy actually, reminds me of good ol’ monsoon Malaysia, sigh…Anyways, we reached the Eiffel tower around 10am and I thought it look like besi buruk la in sunlight :p It definitely looks better at nite. We decided on the €10.70 ticket since it will bring us to the top floor. At first nak mcm juz panjat d whole tower but kaki oredi giving way la, not to mention the 3 hours sleep we had last nite was definitely affecting us. Sid lagi la, mcm mayat jer…sort of.

The electrical lift first brought us to the 2nd floor and we had to change to another lift. However, we thought y not go around this place 1st? The view was magnificent but too bad it was kinda cloudy so we can’t see as far as the eye can see. There was a lot of things we could see from here, the Arche de Triomphe…d Arch de Triumph…ok, I can’t remember all the other things ok but the view was good.

Weather not favoring us, it was also sooo cold! Not only was it raining it was super windy as well! We were like…mana kopi?! Yup, we now wanted to follow Sid’s steps in becoming a caffeine junkie juz to warm us up n help us stay alive. But we didn’t find any affordable coffee around so we juz had to bear with it. We continued with our job of d trip which was pictures here…pictures there! (D’Rog, kalo u ingat u sorg jer bole amik 1000 gambar kita pon bole gak!) We also went into sum of the souvenir shops but things were just too expensive. After going around we decided to get on the top floor. Finally, the warm n closed lift :p

The top floor was an observatory with stairs leading to the top open viewing platform where we got an even higher an better view of Paris. To those afraid of heights..beware! Kidding, they have fencing all over it so u can’t fall over even if u wanted to, hehe. At the below deck there was panels sayin wat u can see from that particular direction n such. There was also an overhead panel sayin how far we were from sum of d major cities around the world. KL…y must u b 10,433km away…huhu. Oh well, after being bored of gound in circles in the deck below while sayin Ohhh n Ahhh we went to the top. Lagi sejuk!!!

Again we went around with our crazy antics of being jakun tourists…well, that may b exaggerating but it was really nice up there. Us guys did a little video up there and it was hilarious! Love being with this guys la. Ada ke bole ketawa when theres an earthquake :p We discussed with the girls after that on wat to do as us guys had to do out Friday prayers and since we had to break up anyway we let the girls go do whatever they want (which means go shopping la) while we waited for Zohor to come. The girls went out of the Eiffel 1st while us guys chilled summore there. Ada la pillow talk sini sana, hehe. When it was time to go we got out of the tower to go to Place Monges where the Central Mosque was said to be.

At Place Monges we found the mosque quick enough so we went to get sum lunch…lapar!!! We could see sum guys giving bread to the needy there. Baik btol la. Praying there was definitely an experience. If u think UK is not as good as Malaysia, then France is definitely not as good as UK. The place was sooo packed it was likethe whole Muslim community in France came to this mosque to pray. When I sujud I was like touching the other person’s feet and when I stood up the space between me and the other person in front was like we were performing Sembahyang Jenazah jer. So bersyukurla with wat we have now and back home coz other ppl have to go thru much harder ways juz to fulfill their responsibilities. After prayin we went to Louvre as we told the girls we will meet them there @ 3.

So we went braving the rain n wind while taking the underground Metro :p We found them broke up into several pairs trying to get tickets. Yes la, us guys lepak je while they lined up for the ticks…sori yer grls. We actually got the €4 tickets! Yeay!! Saving lagi. So we went in and wanted to see the Mona Lisa 1st den after exploring more stuff there we also went to see Venus de Milo..ala, statue takde tgn tuh n it was in GetBackers! Hehehe, manga reference sket. Louvre is big man, I think u’ll need a week to cover every single thing. We got to see the Mona Lisa. I was like,”At last..I got to see u my precious…” haha, takde la sampai camtuh. Ppl were really crowding over it as it was relocated recently. But it was in a glass case. I think they don’t want anybody spilling their drinks over it, heh heh. Next we decided juz to go around each floor. Oh yeah, it was also guys broke up wif grls since both parties wanted to see different things.

Sadly, my legs were like gonna break oredi. Even though I tried so had to channel my energy 4 dis museum I juz cant. Sid however, was like a super-tightly-wound-up-soldier-doll. He was goin here and there so enthusiastically with this huge puppy eyes :p Ok la, another exaggeration. But he really was on a wat we say caffeine-high! We felt like breaking his legs to let him feel wat we feel, heh, but it was good 4 him 2 b like dat. We covered quite a few sections of de Musee bcoz of him. We saw Husna, Kakchik, n Wani going around by demselves indicating dat d grls further broke up. Oi! Divided we fall la :p Anyway, they followed us instead. Me, Aiman n Pojoe den broke up wif dis group as we wanted to see Venus de Milo and also the Islamic Section. Guess wat, we got lost…for d longest time!!!! Go here go there…wait, weren’t we here b4, like dat la. So we rested for awhile. Make dat a long while before going backtracking. We saw Sid n half-of d grls like sitting down taking a breaker while we went to the Islamic section…finally. D best display of all here? Aulfah, Aisha n Alifah pengsan on one of the viewing benches. Wat a sight! Haha, Ufah was still like maintain la sitting down resting while d others terlentang dah…hahahah. Best2. They decided to go back early since they can’t take it anymore so we told dem try to tell d other group dat they were going back so mebbe they can follow if dey wanted to.

So us 3 long-straight-haired-specs-wearing-guys went to see Venus de Milo. Again I felt,”Aha, there u r @ last…” heh. We took pictures den we rested summore, thinking dat if the grls went back den how abt Sid since Aiman had d keys. Cheh, got worried for nuthin. He, Wani, Husna n Kak Cik were waiting for us as per original planned. Cheh… d other 3 grls abandoned their frens. Ah well, we hen went back to take a rest since I and the rest felt like dying. After eating Sid wanted to spend the last nite in Paris memorably. So us guys went out together. At 1st we wanted to go to a river cruise but the last boat didn’t have enuff ppl so dat planned was cancelled so in d end. We then just walked towards the Eiffel tower. When we reached there we bought sum crepes and ate it while enjoyin the walk to the from the tower. After taking a lot of pictures we walked back to the hostel..weary. I was so tired I fell asleep straight after lying on the bed and attempting to do my accounts. Thanks Pojoe for clearing my stuff around me at the time.

Day 6 (Final) : 9/4/2005 aka Saturday

I woke up at 745am still tired but had to quickly pack my bags as I haven’t done that yet. I showered while Aiman and the rest prepared food for the morning. Husna, Aisha n Kakchik had to go 1st since Kakchik had check-in earlier as she was gonna fly back to Malaysia. Didn’t had the opportunity to say bye and thank you so if u ever stumble along this blog (which I think is kinda impossible) heres a shoutout for u! We packed, ate and went. Heard there was sum problems with the RER but we juz hoped for the best. All of us had to buy new tickets since our 5day pass expired but thankfully it wasn’t that expensive. So we went to the airport, not sayin much as I guess we were kinda sad to go or juz really tired and can’t be bothered to talk.

We reached the airport on time and saw Ada from the front gate studying *shudders*. Aisha and Husna were juz checking in when we were heading to the couters. We checked in our stuff and while waiting for the gate to open we went through the area browsing sum stuff if there was anything interesting. Nope, not really. Bought much needed coffee and drink as I was both sleepy and thirsty. When in the lounge the rest were going through sum last minute souvenir browsing and also going Ohh and Ahh in the perfume shop. Our gate opened and after being in the bus, Pojoe and I started our speeches juz to apologize if there was anything wrong on our part and also to say our thanks for having such wonderful company for this trip. There were laughs here and there as we all were up to our usual antics. Us guys got on the plane 1st :p We didn’t realize the flight attendant only invited the ppl in front of us with kids to go up but since we were so far already we juz buat muka tak malu la. The flight was short while the waiting for me and Sid’s bus to Birmingham and Leicester respectively was longer. The Londoners went back to London around 130pm while the rest also had to go to London 1st b4 going back to their respective cities at a later date. While waiting for our 255pm busses me n Sid just spent the time chatting, calling frens which we had sum stuff wif and also eating our serunding with our French baguette leftover. Then when d time came we too said farewell.

And that my friends is my account of the Paris trip. It was fun throughout but sad in the end when we had to part. Mebbe I felt it the most as most ppl kno that I’m the only KMYSian in Birm. But I guess that part makes wat trips with these ppl all the more enjoyable. One good thing about dis trip is that although we didn’t really plan it meticulously, everything seemed to just fall in place and that really strengthen my belief that if u take things in a calm and relaxed manner everything will work out eventually with no fuss. And that was also wat was so best abt dis trip =) For the god-knows-how-many-eth time, thanks Aiman, Pojoe, Sid, Wani, Ufah, Aisha, Husna, Alifah, Kak Cik, and Ada for the great time all of us had. Thanks too for inviting me to be on dis trip, hehe.

Well, this is my version of the trip which may not be complete or correct…its been a week anyways. For more info pls go to my friends blogs. Their links are on the side. And since my newly done fotopages is also on the blink, u can also see sum pictures from my friends sites.

About this blog…it may not be as active as it has been for this few days as I too have finals to prep for (yeee la tu) but as I said before, I only write interesting stuffs which I think are which hopefully will happen in my life. Tak payah la tell u guys wat happened when I went back dat day, bosan jer. Back to boringness and books, till next time…Au Revoir!

Your friend,

Here it is where a humdrum fella writes on what he feels like writing, when he feels like writing. Boring? Interesting? We shall see...
